The Library has given access to electronic journals and databases through the Agriculture Library web page. Some of the print resources available are Agriculture and secondary information sources such as indexes, abstracts and reviews. Current Contents in Agriculture and Biological Sciences, CAB Abstracts (Print version up to 1999 and CD-ROM version from 1990 to date), Agriculture & Environment in Developing Regions (formally Tropical Agriculture) and Annual Reviews, FSTA (Food Science and Technology Abstracts) are main secondary sources available in the library.
The current holdings in the library comprise about 54,000 volumes of Text books/ monographs, print and electronic journals, theses, maps, microforms, CD-ROMs, DVDs, Videos, slides and reprints.
One copy each of agriculture related materials in Sri Lanka are organized as a separate collection for reference only. The collection includes a large number of unpublished and semi published materials relating to agriculture, forestry and livestock sector of the country.

The library is a recipient of International Services for National Agricultural Research (ISNAR) and International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) publications on depository basis.
