Library Membership and Borrowing Facilities

Information is presented in the following order for each user category:

Academic Staff of Faculty of Agriculture

Visiting Lecturers		Letter of appointment issued by the University of Peradeniya / the PGIA with a refundable deposit of Rs. 2000.00	Borrowing up to a limit of 01 book for one month
Emeritus Professors		Letter of appointment issued by the University and payment of a refundable deposit of Rs. 500.00	Borrowing up to a limit of 01 book for one month

Administrative and Non Academic staff of University of Peradeniya

Second Year 03 Lending books- Borrowing period - two weeks. 01 Reference book for overnight. Third and fourth Year 04 Lending books- Borrowing period - two weeks. 01 Reference book for overnight.
Faculty of Vet Medicine Undergraduate irrespective of the year of study		Letter of admission to the Faculty of Vet Medicine Identity card/class list issued by the Faculty	01 Lending books- Borrowing period - two weeks.
Post Graduate students of the PGIA		PGIA identity card/Letter of admission issued by PGIA/ Name in the class list of PGIA and payment of library fees Rs. 1500.00 and refundable library deposit of  Rs.5000	02 Lending books - Borrowing period - two weeks.
Scientists, Researchers and any other postgraduate readers	Senior Assistant  Librarian	Letter of introduction Fee payable Local: Rs250.00 per week Foreign Rs.2000 per week	reference only
Students of the other Universities	Senior Assistant  Librarian	Letter from relevant authorities and student identity card	reference only
