Collection

The strength of the Engineering Library collection by 2010 is more than 45,000 volumes, mainly on Engineering fields. The collection includes monographs, serials, CD-ROMs and audio –visual materials. It comprises following sections:

• Permanent Reference collection
• Technical Reports
• Ceylon Collection
• Thesis collection
• Current and Bound Periodical collection
• SLS, ASTM and British Standards
• Project Reports
• Past Papers
• Buddhism Collection
• Collection of Prof.M.P.Ranaweera
• Collection of Prof.S.Mahalingam

The library gives open access to most of the resources except Sri Lanka collection.

Permanent reference collection of bibliographies, encyclopedias, dictionaries, yearbooks etc. and all other reference tools are housed in the Ground Floor.

Also Scheduled reference materials and lending materials are kept in the left side of ground floor of the library.

Bound Periodicals are kept in the upper floor and current periodical collections are kept in the ground floor near in the service counter.
