Library Catalogue

Efficient use of the library is possible only through a proper understanding of the catalogs as they are the key to the contents of library materials.

Science Library has an Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC).The system of classification used in the Science Library is a modified form of the Dewey Decimal Classification System. Two user terminals are available in the e-zone (in front of the Library Counter) to access the Library OPAC.

• Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC)

The card catalogue is obsolete at present as the Library cataloguing and circulation are automated. Through the Library Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) searches can be performed via many access points; Keywords, author, title, etc. Hence, the electronic catalogue has replaced the manual card catalogue.
