Baggage Facility

Rules and Regulations for Users of Baggage facility.

Who could use the facility?

Only staff and students who are registered in the Faculties of Veterinary Medicine & Animal Science, University of Peradeniya are allowed to use the facility.  Security Guard on duty has the right to request Student Identity Card to prove the User’s eligibility.

What could be left at the Counter?

Only small files, umbrellas, knapsacks are allowed to be kept.  Knapsacks should be opened and displayed when requested by the Security Guard.  The library will NOT be responsible for any item (s) left at the Counter.

Duration of storage

Any item left overnight will be reported to the University Security Office

Operational hours

The Baggage Counter will open at  7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on week days and 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on weekends.

Usage procedure

• When the User requests storage facility, the Security Guard on duty will request to prove User’s identity.
• If the item is a Knapsack or bag, the Security Guard will request the User to open and display the contents.
• The Security Guard has the authority to decline the item depending on the space available etc.
