International Conference on Library and Information Science (ICLIS 2025)
26th – 27th June, 2025- University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka

The International Conference on Library and Information Science (ICLIS-2025), jointly organized by the Sri Lanka Library Association and the Library System of the University of Peradeniya, will be held on 26th and 27th June, 2025. The inaugural session will take place at the Diamond Jubilee Hall, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya. The technical sessions, comprising eight parallel tracks, will be held at the Department of Geography and the Main Library.

ICLIS 2025 marks a significant milestone as the first international conference organized by the University of Peradeniya Library. The conference theme, “Libraries as Pillars of Sustainable Socio-Cultural Capital” highlights the evolving and multifaceted role of libraries in promoting intellectual engagement, preserving cultural heritage, and supporting sustainable social development.

Over 90 research papers will be presented by both local and international scholars. More than 60 foreign participants, from countries including India, Nepal, Nigeria, and Pakistan, have confirmed their attendance.
